Abstract:

The Instructional Technology Center (ITC) was formed in 1976 under the Division of Academic Affairs, and consisted of Creative Services, Distance Learning and Video Services, Online Service, Public Services, and Support Services. The Instructional Technology Center Records contain some and administrative and correspondence files as well as nearly 30 videos in varying formats, dating 1978-2003.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Instructional Technology Center (ITC) was formed in 1976 under the Division of Academic Affairs, and consisted of Creative Services, Distance Learning and Video Services, Online Service, Public Services, and Support Services. The unit disbanded in 2006 and responsibilities of ITC were delegated to other units. While in existence, ITC assisted the campus community in using technology and audio/visual equipment, as well as providing audio and video production services. As well, ITC aided in ASU's distance learning by providing appropriate technologies to facilitate course instruction away from ASU's campus.

Scope and Contents

The Instructional Technology Center Records contain administrative and correspondence files as well as nearly 30 videos in varying formats, dating 1978-2003. However, most of the materials date 1999-2003. The video formats include VHS, Hi 8, Beta and SVHS and most of them pertain to the Appalachian Loft in New York and ASU Convocation. The correspondence and administrative files contain emails, faxes, invoices and letters, and pertain to: bills, media services, recording special events, Charles Kreszock (director of ITC), goals and missions, and financials.
